Blauer Engel
This is a major German eco-label that has been in existence for 25 years and is believed to be the oldest eco-label in existence. Blauer Engel is similar to the Nordic eco-label, the Swan label, but Blauer Engel is better known worldwide.

The aim of the Blauer Engel eco-label is to keep energy consumption, waste volumes, and the impact of harmful substances to a minimum.
